Skills: experienced          Hours: 6 (including transport)         Distance: 18 km          700 m climb

Chill (while you still can during our 50 minute drive to the small town of Bunyola which lies west of the Tramuntana Mountains. This tour is quite technical and demands a reasonable amount of riding skills, stamina and grit. Protective gear is recommended!

From Bunyola we kick off on a gravel path which winds up steadily for the first 6kms of its 18km total. During the climb we get an impressive panoramic view of the island’s capital, Palma de Mallorca. After we pass a wooden gate we‘ll still have some uphill work to do, before we can get the screeching rush of the impending down. This single trail downhill is pretty awesome as it has all the trimmings a track in deep woods can offer…enjoy!

All the hard pedalling over obstacles, rough terrain and occasionally tricky parts will pay off big time with a charged downhill flow.

Want some more? ‘Course you do! Which is why we’ll push, pant and struggle once more to experience a second and even more thrilling down. This down has both bumpy and smooth parts. You can easily gain some proper speed during this down but we’ll break to take a peek around the ‘secret cave house’.

We finish this tour in one of Bunyola’s local market restaurants where we can tuck into a tasty lunch while slapping each other on the back congratulating each other on a job well done!
